SM-1 Engaging Customers through Social Media (in 30 minutes a day or less)

It’s no secret that social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and blogs can be effective elements of a car dealer’s online marketing strategy. People spend more time on social media than any other online activity and any business would be wise to have a strong presence. The problem for some is that it’s hard to be effective and engaging without spending more time and resources on social media than it’s worth.

In this class, we will demonstrate hands-on how Internet Managers, General Managers, and even owners can build a strong presence in social media that translates into leads, branding, and reputation management without spending hours a day doing it.

SM-2 Taking Social Media Marketing to the Next Level & Beyond

Many car dealers have been successful in utilizing social media to promote their dealership. The challenge within social media is that it’s growing and changing every day.  As Web 2.0 reaches its tipping point and emerges as the way that discussions about brands and products occur, car dealers who want to get the most out of their efforts will be willing to step outside of the box.

JD Rucker takes us through advanced techniques that will help dealers already embedded in social media take it to the next level. He will also explore tools and resources that dealers can use to keep up with the latest and greatest technologies that make managing social media as efficient as possible.

WP-1 How to Build a Search Engine Friendly Blog on Wordpress.

Setting up a wordpress blog can be done in just a few clicks with the right host  however until you make the necessary adjustments the search engines may never find it.  This workshop will show you how to install and optimize your blog to compete in your local market in the search engines and help you set up a publishing schedule with topics to blog about.

WP-2 Dealer Microsites Using Wordpress.

So you think WordPress is just a blogging platform?  You can build WordPress microsites by re-purposing manufacturers feeds with your own content that can bring an avalanche of traffic to your website and eliminate your competition from money search terms.

You will need a basic understanding of HTML and know how to install WordPress to get the most value from this workshop.  Included will be three themes that we use for client’s sites that you can make your own.  Just getting access to these themes and learning how to use  them is worth the cost of the conference alone.

We will show you how to set up three different styles of microsites.

CT-1 How To Create Content To Achieve Your Online Marketing Goals

We are giving automotive professionals the opportunity to go back to school and learn how to write.  It’s not what you think.  Brian Pasch will explain why you have to re-think how you write to create content that the search engines will respect.  If you have recently started a blog or have added content pages to your dealer website, most likely you are not doing it correctly.

Automotive professionals need to retool how they write for search marketing and keyword goals.  Brian Pasch will demonstrate and guide to class in how to write a successful article to attract new search traffic.  Attendees should come to class with their dealership back-end login information so they can place a new article directly on their website or blog.

VI-2 How To Optimize Your Videos For Search Marketing
Instructor: Tim Jenning and Matt O’Such

Matt O’Such will join Tim Jennings on the second video class to discuss taking your new video and leveraging it for search marketing.  Matt and Tim will show you how to take one video and use it to target a number of high value keywords using six popular video publishing websites.  If you want to push the competition off Google Page One, video is part of Page One dominance. Matt O’Such is an Automotive SEO specialist who can add insights on how to leverage your videos for search marketing.

PP-1  Google Adwords Fundamentals
Instructor: Eric J.B. Mayhew

Eric J.B. Mayhew will be leading this class on leveraging paid search to create a comprehensive search marketing solution.   Dealers need to havea PPC strategy to compliment their organic search marketing (SEO)strategies.This first class will be a hands on setup of a Google Adwords campaign and a review on the many parameters that you can use to create effective marketing campaigns.   This class is a MUST for dealers that are outsourcing their PPC since it will help you understanding and inspect what is being done (or not done).
